APSA was formed in 1994 with an objective to promote professionalism and excellence in the security industry. Today it has established itself in 12 countries within the Asian region to enhance cooperation, collaboration and security best practices. Members of APSA are security practitioners and security service and technology providers.

APSA Malaysia advocates for best practices and the need for knowledge-based and skilled workforce as an integrated form of security deliveries.  Security is beyond physical security and the role of a security practitioner is not only in protecting an organisation’s asset but contributing to future growth of the organisation.  Today security is a major management function.
